About Sales Activation

This form of activation has to be done with the mindset that the consumer will realize that this promotion is a product of the sponsor related to the sales promotion and is not the co-creator of the new product. This is a line that organizations within sport must be careful of when it comes to apparel, sport performance consumables and celebrity sponsorship. It must be made clear that your organization is still the one responsible for the product and that you are trying to promote the other company through the product, otherwise the confusion may lead to the consumer thinking the product is being produced by another organization. Some examples of sales activation are:

  • Trademark/Image Placement on Item.

  • Media Event for New Products Launch at Sponsored Event.

  • Product Demo at Sponsored Event.

  • Sponsorship Prizes only made possible through Sponsor Purchasing.
